Our Mission

Our Mission

Established in 2014, Soles Montessori (formerly called Estrellitas Home) was founded in the spirit of a loving and diverse environment where the individual learning pace and interests are valued. Estrellitas Home at 1414 Delafield Place NW is now called Soles Montessori. Our daycare is dedicated to nurturing diversity and respect for others and oneself.

Our mission is to provide the loving care and encouragement necessary for children to become independent, creative and confident learners who accept new challenges and are active participants their communities. Our program serves infants, toddlers, and preschoolers (6 months to 5 years).

We do this by providing a nurturing educational environment in accordance with Montessori principles and by offering an exclusively Spanish-language immersion environment. We are one of only 27 childcare centers in DC to offer Spanish-language learning.
